Launched in Spring/Summer 2013, the Japanese brand Mary Al Terna aims to enhance the feminity of women by creating handbags that focus on the gesture of women.
Mary Al Terna comes from the imagination of the designer Ryuki Yamaka. Inspired by the feminist Mary Wollstonecraft, she mixed her name with the word Aternative, meaning a break with traditions for her, to become Mary Al Terna.
Her "BOW" carry-all handbags with soft touch and luxury leather have become iconic. Mary Alterna is now distributed in selective Japanese stores such as Isetan, United Arrows, Estnation, Sixieme Ginza, etc. The brand is opening its distribution overseas and will be presented in Paris at Talent To Trend Showroom in exclusivity.
